Tax Specialist - Dublin City Centre
Our large Dublin City Centre based client are seeking a tax specialist to join their in-house tax team. This is an ideal role for someone wishing to make a leap from practice to industry. The role will focus on direct and indirect taxes there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in consultancy work on new projects and commercial arrangements. Responsibilities:
Tax provisioning and preparation of tax notes for published accounts
Act as key point of contact for the statutory auditors
Preparation of preliminary tax computations for ROI companies
Preparation and filing of ROI & UK tax returns
Preparation of the annual Country by Country return
Advising the business units on the tax implications of new business and input into optimising the corporate structures to maximise return on its investments.
Review of ROI & UK VAT returns and preparation of the Irish ARTD
Support the Finance Operations team on ad hoc queries in relation to VAT, PSWT, RCT, VAT, CIS taxes.
Manage tax master data
Requirements:
A tax qualified candidate with exposure to clients
Be a problem solver and willing to come out with new ideas and implement them
Excellent Excel skills.
Working knowledge of Alphatax
Good team player
Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential
Prior experience in tax technology
