Management Accountant
Our client, A global pharmaceuticals business is seeking to hire a management accountant to join their operations finance team.
This role will support the Procurement business unit along with supporting global capex projects.
This is a dynamic role that is best suited to someone with an eye for detail and problem solving. The hiring manager is seeking someone with a good level SAP. A highly visible role which offer excellent business partnering experience.
Responsibilities include:
Sample responsibilities in the position are (but not limited to):
- Analysing and understanding drivers of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) in the procurement process, summarising the key drivers for senior management
- Rebate accrual preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
- Participate in the quarterly forecast and annual budgets
- Preparing management presentations & summaries related to month-end, quarter-end, & budget
- Gain a deep understanding of the companies financial business model along with the processes associated with each unique business area (raw materials, packaging, preprint, external manufacturing) within each facility.
- Act as a SAP subject matter expert (SME) and provide financial and SAP expertise to the Operations Finance and Global Procurement.
- Provide support to the relevant Sourcing Managers in terms of analysis and Ad Hoc queries
- SAP Pricing/Data Management including foreign currency
- The successful candidate must be able to prioritize, work through interruptions, and multi- task to meet goals and timelines
- Operate under limited day-to-day supervision as they are expected to be leaders, problem solvers, and follow through on their daily activities in a fast-paced environment without detailed supervision.
Experience Required
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with minimum 3 years working experience in a business, financial, or SAP environment preferred
- BS or BA degree in finance, business, procurement, or related field
- SAP knowledge and Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Procurement experience is a plus
