CFO – Bermuda – Telecoms
This senior finance role based in Bermuda will ideally suit someone with previous telecoms or similar sector experience. It’s a very fast paced working environment and the marketplace is competitive, which means the role will require a commercially orientated finance professional to lead the team and work closely with the market CEO in making informed commercial decisions.
The role will suit a confident, driven and ambitious finance professional who has the ability to take full ownership of the ‘numbers’ to drive the success of this market.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the finance function including recruiting and developing your team
- Look to continually improve financial controls & procedures in line with company policies
- Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to the Shareholders. This will require in-depth knowledge of numbers and excellent communication skills
- Full ownership of cashflow and balance sheet, own the relationship with financial institutions both locally and internationally
- Prepare and own budgets, spend and business plan ensuring all are monitored and adjusted where necessary
- Work with the local CEO on new products, offerings & customers to drive the business
- Work with the Group CFO on company projects, rolls outs, reports and other ad hoc requirements
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with a minimum eight years’ experience of owing a full P&L and driving growth
- Strong examples of growing and developing a successful finance team
- Previous experience of working in a results driven environment with a strong sense of urgency will be essential
- Confidence, ambition and excellent communication will be needed to succeed here – the role will regularly report to the shareholders & board who have high standards & expectations of their finance team members. The business is run by finance professionals, so there will be no hiding!
- Highly desirable experience includes previous telecoms exposure, international experience and an understanding of emerging markets
Remuneration
- Six figures, plus bonus, health insurance, accommodation & flight allowance
