Senior Financial Controller – Retail – Dublin 1 – up to €110,000
Our client, a household brand name is looking for a Group Financial Controller to join their team due to an internal promotion and slight team restructure. This privately owned large organisation is constantly innovating by expanding & developing their offering to customers.
Reporting to Director of Finance
Managing a team of 6 – 8 people
Responsibilities
- Staff management & development, providing leadership to a team of up to 8 people
- Board support – Board – reports, accounts, proposals across finance, commercial & operations etc
- Preparation of investment appraisals
- Assist with annual budgets, year-end and strategic plans
- Support other finance teams across the Group
- Manage treasury with Group CFO
- Oversea the co-ordination of all statutory & management accounting activities ensuring all statutory, tax & vat reporting requirements are met
- Liaise with external auditors
- Maintain & improve where possible/necessary internal control framework
- Work with Snr Group Controller and external tax advisors for all tax matters (direct & indirect) across the Group ensuring the Group is fully compliant across all jurisdictions (Ireland & Northern Ireland)
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5-7 years PQE (ideally Big 4 trained)
- Tax qualification would be considered preferable
- Experience in the Retail, Food or Franchise sectors are preferred
- Excellent communication both verbal & written – reporting writing is required for this role
- Commercial awareness is essential
Remuneration
- €90,000 - €110,000 plus bonus & benefits
