Senior Accountant - North Dublin
North Dublin pharma company of €500m T/O is seeking a senior accountant to join their busy team of 30 people.
This role will be very hands-on and will require someone highly motivation. Partnering with their busiest and most profitable business unit, you will challenge managers and partner with operations to improve the function. The business is expanding and as a result the fruits of your labour will be easily recognised and measure and you will be rewarded. This role is best suited to someone who has trained in a larger accounting practice. If you are a problem-solver who prefers a commercial focus and who is keen to climb the career ladder quickly in a rapidly expanding Irish owned company, this role could be for you.
Responsibilities:
Reports in to the Finance Manager and responsible for preparing month end accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow
Preparation and completion of monthly management accounts monthly reporting pack with analysis of performance across the Group, highlighting any variances and Provide financial analysis and margin reports on product ranges & customer groups
Ongoing margin analysis, root cause categorisation of variances
Monthly GL and accounts reconciliation, preparation and processing monthly journals
Assisting senior management with the budgeting and forecasting process
Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value (price, cost and process)
Actively communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to track KPI targets and to provide variance analysis
Requirements:
Degree qualified with either an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with 2-3 years PQE, with a track record of experience in a commercial accounting or management accounting position
FMCG experience
Strong commercial acumen with experience of financial and sales analysis
Advanced Excel skills are essential
Ability to effectively communicate up, across and down the organisation across multiple disciplines including operations, field sales, promotional & marketing and commercial teams as well as externally with customers and principals
Analytical with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
