Practice Accountants - Dublin - Kildare - Portlaoise

We are working with a number of small practices in the Leinster region. These practices vary in size from 10 - 35 staff. They are close-knit teams and are very much involved with their clients. The relationships are strong and their clients consider them part of their team.

The content of the work varies far beyond Audit, in fact, many of the clients are Audit exempt! Apart from accounting, the main attributes required to succeed in these roles would be personality/communication/relationship building - the softer skills along with commerciality. The clients you work with understand the value of every euro made and want to ensure they know where it is, what it's been spent on and what is the return.

There is the option to work from home with all of them. We would hope you would be able to secure a role with a practice closer to home, saving you time on those days you do need to commute.

The roles are full time, as there is a lot of work to do, but gone would be the late nights some firms are renowned for. It's a very different way of life working in a small practice. You know everyone in the office, you know your clients (and their kids/familes/teams). It's a nice way of life!

Each staff member is usually given their own portfolio of clients. The clients range from 'one person bands' to large manufacturers to wholesalers, retailers, food producers, hoteliers, charities, nursing homes, etc

The days are always varied, you could spend a day on site, a few days working from home, preparing a set of accounts, dealing with revenue, putting together a set of management accounts, CoSec, tax planning, accounts prep, payroll the list and variety goes on. You'll never be bored and will constantly be learning. A few of the roles (in Kildare) would really like someone with some tax knowledge.

Due to the number of roles we have with these small practices, the requirements are flexible

1. Qualified accountant or Tax qualified
2. Practice experience is essential - ideally someone from a smaller practice
3. We can also accommodate part qualified people/bookkeepers

Depending on the role...

• Bookkeeper - €35,000 - €42,000 – part qualified, AIT qualified
• Qualified Accountant (with some accounts prep experience) - €50,000 to €60,000
• Tax advisor (tax qualified) - €55,000 +++ depending on experience
