Management Accountant - Dublin 2
Opportunity to join a fast paced food- focussed private investment team with national interests and an international outlook.
We are building a diversified portfolio of high potential food related brands with capacity for both domestic and international growth through strategic investment, skilful marketing, research and product development.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of management/ financial/ commercial accounting and financial analysis aspects and can be described as challenging and hands-on.
The role will involve working closely with a number of portfolio companies across FMCG, Retail and Foodservice offerings.
Key responsibilities are ( but not limited to );
Preparation of monthly management accounts and coordinating the monthly management reporting pack with actionable insights
Responsible for all month end reconciliations ensuring the balance sheet and P&L are fully reconciled and backed up
Manage and develop accounts assistants
Review payroll
Assist with Tax and Audit compliance including VAT returns
Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audits
Control of Aged Debtors/Creditors
Assist in Budget preparation of portfolio companies
Consolidation of group accounts across the portfolio
Preparation and assistance with financial and project analysis
Maintaining cost centres, chart of accounts, payroll for head office company
Continually improve the systems within our portfolio companies to lay strong foundations to scale the companies and finance function effectively
Assist with due diligence analysis and other ad-hoc requirements
Report directly to the CFO, have the ability to communicate effectively with other members of senior management within our portfolio companies
Key attributes, skills and desirable experience for this role include Qualified Accountant
Industry experience a plus
Excellent Mircosoft Excel Skills, with financial modelling an advantage
Reliable, self-starter , motivated and pro-active, willing to take on responsibilities
Capable of working on a small team, team player attitude.
Ability to deliver to tight deadlines when necessary
Must be an excellent communicator and be able to deal effectively with non- financial stakeholders
