GL Accountant - 6 mth contract - Swords

GL Accountant – North Dublin – Six-month contract - €55,000 (pro rata)

Are you looking to gain some industry experience before you head of travelling or even to see if GL Accounting post practice is for you? Or are you a part qualified accountant with GL experience having worked in a Shared Service environment previously?  Well here is an opportunity that might suit!  Our client based in Swords is looking for a GL Accountant to join them for six months.  Hybrid work model – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

• Performing period-end close activities
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts
• Assist with requirements for SOX Compliance and Reporting
• Supporting the Fixed Asset, payroll and intercompany accounting processes
• Support and assist the GL Accounting Manager and Accounting Director, as required

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA Part-Qualified accountant - Essential
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to assertively solve practical problems and standardise processes
• Advanced knowledge of Excel essential
• Experience working with SAP an advantage
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Exposure to a Shared Service Centre environment
• Experience in retail an advantage

Remuneration

• Up to €55,000 depending on experience
