Our client, a large player in the leisure & food industry are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their growing team. The role based in North Dublin will report directly to a strong Financial Controller. This is a broad hands-on role and will add value to your previous experiences. The role will focus on monthly close process, review of payroll data & improve processes where needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations including regularly reviewing bank reconciliations
- Overseeing the Accounts Payable team
- Preparation of a monthly management accounts pack using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software package along with Jet reporting
- Analyse business drivers which impact on the financial results
- Presentation of results to senior management alongside the Group Financial Controller
- Weekly updating and review of cashflows for various parts of the group, actively making appropriate transfers and planning
- Help enhance the control environment to ensure efficient controls are operated
- Reviewing and approving outsourced weekly and monthly payrolls
- Help optimise finance processes striving to deliver best practice in process automation, efficiencies and improved accuracy
- Assist with the annual audit process for various legal entities; including preparation of statutory accounts while liaising with external auditors
- Manage the preparation, review and submission of tax returns for relevant entities
- Assist with submission of accounts (full or abridged as required) to the CRO
- Be involved with the annual budgeting process
- Assist with, or assume responsibility for, other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
Applicants should:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with +2 years post qualification experience, ideally in a similar role
- Be results driven and strong team player
- Have worked in an organisation with many legal entities
- Be able to deal with a large volume of transactions and tight deadlines
- Thrive in a busy, challenging and demanding environment
- Ideally have experience with Sage Accounts Production, Oracle/Micros till systems, Power BI and Great Plains an advantage
