Role: Finance Manager
Reporting to: CFO
This global indigenous media company is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team at this exciting growth phase. With acquisitions & systems implementations in the pipeline for 2018 this will suit someone who can juggle new tasks with business as usual work.
Responsibilities
- Complete ownership of timely and accurate month-end close and assisting the audit process. Including P&L, consolidations, balance sheet prep, financial statements & variance analysis
- Maintain & support development of commercially driven KPIs for inclusion in monthly pack
- Develop relationships with all teams across the organisation to ensure strong communication between finance, sales & operations
- Develop an understanding of all finance/business processes with a view to implementing efficiencies and improvements
- Supporting the CFO & the Senior Leadership Team, in managing the annual budgeting/forecasting process
- Review performance against budgets/KPIs and targets, variance and business/margin analysis
- Working closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual financial audit
- In 2018 there will be a number of new projects with tasks yet to be assigned
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with at least 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with a drive for results
- Flexibility – a self-starter with a good initiative and a team player
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, someone who can deal effectively with people from a non-finance background
- Someone who takes a proactive approach to solving problems
- Organised and thorough, with desire for continuous improvement
- Excellent IT skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel
- Exposure to foreign currency management and reporting is desirable
