Commercial Accountant (FP&A)
Our client, a major player in the Agri-food space is seeking to recruit a Commercial Accountant. This is a unique opportunity to work with a young, dynamic team of professionals in hugely successful, privately-owned Irish Business.
Reporting into the head of a €500 million + turnover division, this role will support the head of Finance with commercial decision making for the division.
Ideally suited to someone at the beginning of their post-qualified career with a knowledge (familial or otherwise) of the Irish Agribusiness sector who has chosen to take the route of Chartered Accountancy. This person will have experience with handling their practice’s Blue Chip accounts.
This role will involve some domestic travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in commercial decision making, financial control and reporting around commercial and operational models such as cost of sales
- Support the team to ensure that costs are understood; budgets are accurate and well communicated
- Identify and implement commercial and financial opportunities to grow sales, reduce margin erosion and minimize revenue leakage
- Excellent stakeholder management – build strong relationships with finance, sales, supply chain and operational
- Drive accuracy and consistency across the business
Key Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ ACCA)
- Experience of dealing with Blue Chip customer accounts
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office including, and advanced level of Excel combined with general proficiency in IT systems.
- Practical approach to solving problems
- Attention to detail & organization skills
